Read to Learn is a literacy program sponsored by School District 214 where trained volunteer tutors are paired with English speaking adult students to work on reading and writing in a one-to-one instructional setting at several locations throughout the northwest suburbs. The group that Marlene work swith is the Wednesday night Wheeling High School site and they donated yarn to Forefront Stitchers as part of Make a Difference Day. Each site decides on their own project and my co-tutors and students decided to make us their project.
